Accreditation and Certifications

School Accreditation

TPS is accredited as an independent private school by the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS). Our school code is VA013W. Accreditation as a school (versus a “learning provider” or “course provider”) requires additional standards of coherence in our curriculum and demonstrated accomplishment of our academic outcomes. These credentials allow us to confer accredited high school diplomas and provide enhanced benefits for the U.S. homeschool community and independent students worldwide.

TPS is a College Board Level 1 Attending Institution with AI / CEEB code 470144.

AP® Authorization

NCAA Approval

Our core courses are approved by NCAA with authorization to list them on a TPS school transcript provided to NCAA and colleges for NCAA athletes. (To maintain eligibility, NCAA athletes must complete and report core courses — English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Global Language — approved by NCAA each year of high school.) Our NCAA code is 850857.

University of California A-G Approval

TPS is a CA A-G approved school under code 470144 with the name “Potters School”. As eligible TPS courses are approved, they are updated in the A-G Course List and in the TPS course catalog details for each course.

Non-Profit

TPS is approved by the U.S. IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with tax ID 91-1921692.
